The DL on Beets
Listen, either you love them or hate them, but they are lowkey good AF for you.
Beetroot is full of nitrates which are natural chemicals found in soil, air, and water. When consumed, our bodies convert nitrates into nitric oxide, a compound responsible for dilating our blood vessels to control blood flow and blood pressure. Nitric oxide aids in the process of regulating other bodily functions, from digestion to blood flow to memory and vision. But as we get older, our bodies produce less nitric oxide due to high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or emotional stress, increasing our risk of cardiovascular disease and in some cases, Alzheimer’s.
We said all of that to say this…
In the boom boom room, increased blood flow and low blood pressure may help boost your sexual desire and overall sex drive.
